How to Access Respite Care

You should consider discussing this support with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC) or your Support Coordinator and apply directly for this support at your next plan review meeting. If approved the NDIA will usually fund up to 28 days of STA per year and you can use this funding Flexibly. For example you may choose to access it up to 14 days at a time or you can decide to use it for one weekend per month. Regardless of what you choose it is your choice and control.
